Larry and Pam Noland - Arctic Canada
Larry and Pam’s Testimony
God has been doing a wonderful work in our family. It began in 1990 after the birth of Cory. Being a dad I now realized the responsibility I had of leading my family and felt that to do it correctly I needed to take them to church. I talked with Pam about this and she agreed but because we were slow to do anything about it. God sent a pastor into our area who was starting a new church. We attended his church and it was there we heard and understood the Gospel and we both accepted Christ as savior. As we grew in our Christian life there was always an interest and burden for missions in our hearts. In 1997 I had the opportunity to go on a ten-day mission trip to Lithuania, and it was there that God spoke clearly to me about surrendering myself to be a missionary. Upon returning home, I found that God had been working in Pam’s heart also and she surrendered to help me and follow wherever God led. In the next fourteen months I resigned my job of managing a small business in Missouri, we sold our house and moved to Jacksonville, Florida to attend Trinity Baptist College. Through the influence of chapel speakers and the college faculty, God began immediately to work on my heart about Canada. In my first semester at school, Dr. Dan Truax shared with me that what God wants is for us to surrender and be willing to go anywhere. This became my prayer and it was in the Missions conference at Trinity Baptist Church in 2001 that God answered that prayer by confirming in our hearts that the Arctic is where He wanted us to go.
