Adam's Testimony
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I was not raised by a Christian family, though I was taught to believe in God and the Bible. I attended several different kinds of churches throughout my youth, including Catholic, Baptist, and nondenominational. After some time, my family decided to visit Choice Hills Baptist Church, from which we are now sent. I began to be very religious, holding to a vague, empty sinners’ prayer years earlier for my salvation. I served in the church, visited, and did many other good things all without genuine salvation. However, in August of 1999, I attended Gateway Baptist Camp. I had been having doubts about my salvation for a while. At the camp, during the bedtime devotions, the Lord showed me my condition before Him. Recognizing that, I fled to God’s lovely Son for my salvation. He saved me and gave me a new course.
Alison's Testimony
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Unlike the people in Cambodia, I was raised by a Christian mother who took me to Baptist churches all of my life. After making an empty profession, I continued to go to Baptist churches with my family. Later, my family joined Parkwood Baptist Church, which was noticeably different from the other churches that I had attended. The pastor preached the Gospel! After a Sunday morning message on knowing when, where, and how you are saved, the Lord began to shake my religion. On that Sunday night, at the invitation, I realized that I was without Christ and headed for hell. I went forward and trusted Christ as my Lord and Saviour, calling upon Him to save me. At once, all things became new!
